The Wayne Law Review and Wayne State University Law School is pleased to announce The Wayne Law Review’s Annual Symposium in the Law titled “Taking Care of Business: Is the Michigan Business Tax Friend or Foe?” beginning at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2008. The Symposium, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Law School’s Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium. It will be divided into three panel sessions and will feature locally and nationally renowned tax law experts. The first panel is from 1:30 – 2:45 p.m. and is titled “Overview of the MBT: What changes and why now?” The second, from 3 – 4:15 p.m., is titled “Incentivizing Doing Business in Michigan” and the third, from 4:30 – 5:45 p.m., is titled “Consequences of a Gross Receipts Levy within the MBT.”
