The Anat Cohen Quartet

Jazz concert featuring first-time female winner of the "Up and Coming Musician of the Year" and first-time simultaneous winner of both that honor and also "Clarinetist of the Year" at the Jazz Journalists Association Awards, ANAT COHEN will perform on Sunday, June 22nd, under the auspices of The Cohn-Haddow Center for Judaic Studies. The event will take place at Temple Israel, 5720 Walnut Lake Rd., West Bloomfield at 2:30 p.m. . In the August 2007 isue of Downbeat, Anat was voted "Rising Star Clarinetist of the Year" in the magazine's long-running annual critics poll, while also receiving citations in four other "rising star" Downbeat Critics Poll categories, including up and coming musician, composer, tenor sax, and soprano sax.
